5 good reasons to compare bank accounts
You have a bank account to receive and pay money. But with most payment accounts you can keep track of a lot more, such as managing cash books and set up savings targets.
Prices vary considerably. Plenty of reasons to compare.
1. Bank accounts differ in price
The charges are an important factor to look out for when choosing a bank account. Did you know that there are free current accounts, but also current accounts that cost 200 euros per year? Some banks also charge (extra) costs for a debit card, a second debit card or for withdrawing cash.
2. The payment packages for bank accounts vary
If you only look at the costs, you compare apples to pears. The differences between paid bank accounts are huge. Always included are a current account, bank card and access to internet banking and / or an app. The possibilities of the app quite differ (see reason 3).
3. Useful extras in the app
Banks do a lot to support customers to manage their money. How they support you, varies. For example, you can often manage an online cash book, create different "piggy banks" called sub-accounts and set up savings targets, send payment requests and automatically transfer money to and from a linked savings account.
4. Is the current account suitable for young people?
Are you looking for a current account for your child or are you not 18 yet? Then you cannot go to every bank. Some banks have special current accounts for children and young people, although a parent or legal guardian must always participate in the application.
5. Customer Service
If you have a question or a problem, you obviously want to be helped quickly. Then it is convenient if your bank has long opening hours and can be reached in various ways. This is not always a bank branch, but it is often a phone-based customer service.
